Forgotten Blogs
I had a blog before this one. It was a free one on Blogger. After about a month of blogging, I was finding myself more busy than when I started the blog, and realized that I couldn’t update it regularly anymore. So instead of leaving it there withering in agony, hoping someone would show it some love and post a new blog post, I decided to shut it down. It was a sad day, but not really. Within a few days, I had completely forgot about blogging. The few good blogs that I had been reading during that time were lost, and I moved back to reading more traditional news, such as the New York Times and Washington Post.
I’m back into full swing doing the blog thing. I routinely read 33 blogs - thanks to Google Reader. And I get mostly the news I want to hear, rather than news someone else wants to report. The blogs I read are listed in my blogroll, currently in the left column of this blog. As you can see, most of them are science related, with a good chunk being devoted to physics and the atmospheric sciences.
You’ll also notice there are a few blogs that don’t get updated regularly: mostly Wittering with Intent and The Quick Brown Phox. These blogs belong to Mak and Phox respectively, and I’m calling you out! Post in your blog more. It’s no fun going to a blog and seeing the same thing over and over and over and… again. Hopefully with a little prodding, both with update their blogs with a new post soon.
