The weather system that was supposed to slide to the east of us around midday today has decided to stick around until at least early morning tomorrow. Clouds, rain, and even snow is expected in the mountainous regions. After the trough of low pressure moves off to the east, the chance of precipitation will end. Dry weather is expected for a couple days before the next storm system moves into southeastern Arizona early next week.
The high today was 56 degrees, and the overnight low dropped down to only 44.
Looking at the climatology for tomorrow (February 15th): The average low temperature for tomorrow is 42, with the average high being 68. The record low of 24 was set in 1908, and the high of 85 in 1957.
Now for the 3-day forecast:
Tomorrow - highs around 63, with an overnight low in the high 30s.
Friday - finally the warmth is back with highs in the low 70s, overnight lows only in the 40s.
Saturday - highs today should be in the mid-70s, the final day of above average temps before the cold hits again.
The weekend is shaping up to be very nice. Above average temperatures with no rain on Friday or Saturday , and only a small chance of precip on Sunday.
