What did I tell you? It was a wonderful day here today. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and it was a great day to spend outside.

Let’s start by having a look at what’s going on right now across the nation. We see that low pressure system that was over the Dakotas has moved off to the east coast. The snow should stay confined to the upper northeast portion of the United States. A ridge of high pressure sits directly over the central US, which will bring warm weather and clear skies to much of the nation’s midsection. Another low pressure system moving in off the Pacific Ocean will bring rain and possibly snow to Washington and Oregon. This system will start to affect us tomorrow with some clouds and possibly rain.
A stronger system moving in off the West coast on Monday will keep the weather clouds and cool with a greater chance of precipitation.
Zooming in to Tucson, we see that we expect a week low to move through the area Sunday, and that larger low I was talking about to move through the area on Monday. The rest of the weekend will be cloudy it looks like. A small chance of precip on Sunday.
Conditions right now: 67 degrees with clear skies. The relative humidity is 22 %, with winds out of the northwest at 8 miles per hour. Barometric pressure is 29.51 inches of mercury and falling. The record high for today was set in 2004 with a temperature of 83 degrees, which we almost reached today. The record low was 19 back in 1910. That sure was a cold February. We reached a high today of 80, which was much higher than the average of 68. The overnight low was 40, a couple degrees below the average.
Turning to the 3 day forecast, tomorrow should have a high near 74 degrees with an overcast sky. It’ll be warm enough for activites, but without that usual Tucson sun. There’s a slight chance of some light sprinkles in the afternoon hours. Monday should be a little cooler, but will still be cloudy and have a larger change for that precipitation. High on Monday will be around 70 degrees. And Tuesday is looking to be a lot like Monday. Highs in the upper 60s, and a good chance you’ll see some precipitation. High will be around 65 degrees.
