It’s mostly cloudy outside right now, at it looks like it will stay that way until at least tomorrow.

Zooming out to look at the nation’s weather, a series of low pressure systems has moved inland from the Pacific coast bring cool to California and the desert southwest. It’s snowing in the central Rockies and the the Pacific Northwest. The southwest region of the country is now the nicest with above average temperatures and mostly clear skies. Snow is affecting the Great Lakes region. There may be some freezing rain in Minneapolis-St. Paul.

This storm system will move across Arizona tonight, depositing rain in the valley and some more snow in the mountains. Gusty winds will start to die down after this storms passes on Wednesday, and high pressure aloft moves over the area. Another storm is on its way, so don’t get too used to the couple days of nice weather.

Right now the temperature is 53 degrees. Relative humidity 56%. The wind is out of the west at 13 miles per hour. The barometric pressure is rising slightly at 29.96 inches of mercury. There’s a 50% chance of rain tonight with isolated thunderstorms. The record high for today of 85 was recorded back in 1981. And the record low was 25 in 1955. Todays high was 67 which was only slightly lower than the average of 69. The overnight low dipped down to 55, several degrees above the average low of 42.

Looking forward to the three day forecast, this system will move out of the Tucson area by midday. Early rain is possible, though not likely. The afternoon should be nice and sunny with a high of 63 degrees. Both Wednesday and Thursday look like beautiful days, with highs for both days in the low 70s.
