Global Warming Not Debunked by Augie Auer
This probably isn’t even worth posting, but it seems to attracted a bit of attention from the loonies. Global warming debunked.
Some selected quotes from the article, all attributed to Augie Auer, and all but the first were in quotes. Responses from Climate change: A guide for the perplexed.
Man’s contribution to the greenhouse gases was so small we couldn’t change the climate if we tried.
[Response: Human CO2 emissions are too tiny to matter]
“We’re all going to survive this. It’s all going to be a joke in five years.”
[Response: It's been far warmer in the past, what's the big deal?]
“The Greens are really going to go after you because you put out 49 per cent of the countries emissions. Does anybody ask 49 per cent of what? Does anybody know how small that number is?”
[Response: CO2 isn't the most important greenhouse gas]
“It’s become a witch-hunt; a Salem witch-hunt.”
[Response: Many leading scientists question climate change]

Allthough I usually am definite about everything (it’s either black, either white with me), concerning the climate change, I can not be so convinced. I believe that the greenhouse gasses are not as bad as they say they are, but I am not sure that humans are so strangers to global warming. If you look at the past 150 years, there are human actions that influenced climate (there is a report at 1ocean-1climate.com). Human oceanic activity (sailing, navigation, warfare, etc) has its influence on the oceans and they have their influence on the climate. Also, you can see how the climate of the 20th century is explained at artic-warming.com. You cannot say that the climate would have been the same if we weren’t here.
