Shiptracks and Contrails
In a presentation on Monday I said that shiptracks were harder to see in the visible imagery than the infrared imagery.
Then the gods who run the GOES satellite decided to mess with me and insert shiptracks and contrails into todays visible images.

The contrails over the US aren’t visible in the small version, so click picture above to embiggen (6MB).
Awesome, huh? 
In unrelated news, Bad Behavior decided to add my laptops IP to it’s “bad” list… so I’ve turned off the plugin. Hopefully too much crap won’t get through before I get it fixed.
